Operating: Predominately Gauteng, but we have members all over the country as well as in Europe and America.

Affiliate organisation: The Kennel Union of Southern Africa

Membership requirements:
Interest in the breed.

Meetings:
Occasional social events and two shows per year.

Mission, Aims and goals:
To educate and inform dachshund owners and breeders.
Our goals are as follows:

to promote, encourage, foster and advance the breeding, well-being and interest of all three varieties of the Miniature Dachshund breed of dog;

to observe and adhere to the Breed Standard of the Miniature Dachshund breed of dog as adopted by the Kennel Union of Southern Africa;

to organise and hold Shows and to engage in other dog activities recognised by the Kennel Union of Southern Africa;

to offer Cups, Trophies and Special Prizes for competition among members and others at Championship and other Shows; and

to present occasional Breed Workshops and Training Classes for the benefit and education of the public, members and judges.
